Doh! Watch out Boost Mobile!

A woman who recently bought a pre-paid cell phone for her teenage son in Tampa found a naughty surprise which might have any parent concerned.

At a Tampa Wal-Mart, Michelle March of Sebring, Fla., bought a $40 prepaid phone for her 14-year-old son. Shes concerned and angry that what was on the phone were images of women who wore hardly any clothing. After prompting different wallpapers to put on the phone, she discovered her son was able to display that of several scantily clad women.

The prepaid device is called a “Boost Mobile” phone, and Janet Sanchez couldn’t comprehend the images for wallpaper choices.

CBS4’s Liv Davalos bought a similar phone at Wal-Mart in Doral. She found all you had to do to find semi-naked women was to scroll down the thumbnail wallpaper choices. There are up to 25 free photos of the women and sensuous titles, like ‘Naked With Red Sheets’.

Contacting Wal-Mart about the issue, a spokesperson told CBS4 News, ‘We are looking into the customer’s concerns. However, these phones not unlike other cell phones that allow customers to choose among many features that use the Internet, including downloading wallpaper for a fee. This is an issue that should be addressed by the cellular companies.’
